We are a family-owned and run early learning childcare centre, serving the community since 1996. Following our founder Deborah’s vision, her daughter Ashleigh is committed to creating a warm, relaxing and comfortable environment for children that foster confident, brave, and self-sufficient learners.

At Laughing Clowns, we abide by the RIE approach - encouraging children to feel secure, confident and helping them understand how the world works. We ensure a safe, predictable, consistent, and challenging environment for children's learning and development.

Our Story

Deborah spent many years working in her mother’s child care centre before she founded Laughing Clowns with her husband Vince. She left a brilliant legacy and influenced many successful individuals throughout their formatting years. Today, our family upholds the same values and promises to give the best start to children. With a combined history of 43 years in early childhood education - we are shaping generations of experience into happy beings.

We Understand
'Growing up'

0 - 3 Years

A Caring Environment

Children are born ready to learn. Their brains are already developing before birth and by the age of three, a child's brain has around 1000 trillion connections. Every day brings a new change; a grin, a commotion, a kiss, a new tooth. Children are born ready to learn. They are curious to explore the world around them via strong relationships, learning through play, and activating their senses.

3 - 4 Years

In Safe Hands

At the age of 3 - 4 years, a child transitions from babyhood to childhood. This age group is unique as each child develops at their own pace. Our small class size ensures that children form a strong bond with their educator which allows them to develop vital dispositions for learning such as curiosity, collaboration, confidence, creativity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence, imagination, and reflexivity.

4 - 6 Years

Pre-school program

Children at this age start preparing for formal education at primary schools. They develop skills like and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating. These ensure a smooth transition to pre-schools.
